Simply outstanding; the best. I have been using top-end coated non-stick cast cookware since 1993, but could not afford Scanpan. I found a sale on Amazon; I can cook anything in the saute pan, using olive oil or butter for flavor as needed with heat distribution uniform at any temperature. I am still reluctant to use a knife directly on the pan, but a chef friend says the only problem with using a knife is that it gets dull. The stock pot is a joy. Clean-up is so easy that it takes me longer to wash the remains of scrabled eggs from a plate than the pan.
I didnt use these products, I sent them right back. The plastic handles on them looked cheap and like they wouldnt honestly withstand the oven temperatures over 400F. The nonstock didnt seem all too thick, either, but I hear great reviews about this product. I just wasnt pleased with the price considering what I saw when I opened the box so I just packed it back up and sent it back.
This is great. I am a huge fan of scanpan and with the bonus saute pan I saved a packet. Will be looking out for other bonus combos for scanpan.
I am very happy with this product. Scanpan has an exceptionally durable nonstick surface. You can safely use metal utensils without causing any damage. Heat conduction is very even. The glass covers make it easy to see what is going on inside. The texture of the outer surface of the pots is just the same as the inside and is very pleasing: a nice matte finish, slightly rough to the touch, dark charcoal color. The dutch oven (6.5 quart stockpot) and cover are safe in the oven up to 500 degrees, great for finishing stews that you have started on the stovetop. Two things to know before you buy: The manufacturer does not recommend using cooking sprays like Pam, as they apparently do something bad to the nonstick surface. Also, the pots are all quite heavy. I now own 5 Scanpan pieces, and I love them.
